New lady with '82 GL 1000, read this, please!

#1 Unread post by Bluebabe »

Sorry but I cannot find where I posted a reply to you on how you would be fine on the larger bike and gave some suggestions on taking an MSF course, etc.

Anyway, I was reading another thread on here and came across a post made by Dragonhawk. After reading this post, I think it would be a wise thing for you to read.

Here is the site: http://www.wyndfeather.com/learn/motorcycle.htm

This site was done specifically for new riders by him/her (sorry did not look in the profile) and has a "plethora" of information on it....I would like to recant my recommendation on sticking with the "new", larger bike unless you are completely comfortable and confident with it, but still, read this. It is very good.....made me think twice about what I told you and that is good! ;)

They put a lot of work in on it and it shows.....So sorry about that and hope this helps!
