Hello all...

My first bike is a 2007 650 Yamaha VStar Classic. I bought it to free it from the garage prison it was being held in, with only 250 miles on it by 2008!

I love this bike, after 14 months I have put on over 5,380+ miles on it! My longest ride was 400+ miles just a couple of weeks ago, trailing with last week's ride of 280 miles to see the AMA Motorcycle Museum. I sometimes ride it to work...but there are just too many people around...I work in an inner city area!

I will try to post a pic...

Lot's of beautiful bikes you fellow female riders have. I brought home my most recent ride Valentines day 2009. I really love her and she is more comfortable to ride than you would think. I think I am going to hold onto her for a long time to come.

She is a 1999 Yamaha YZF R6

Belly Dancer wrote:Hi There,

I've been riding since October 2006. I have logged about 2000 miles since then, but I still consider myself a fairly new rider.

My first bike, which I still own, is a 2002 Suzuki GZ-250. However, last October I was ready to move up and lucked-up on a 1997 Honda Magna that was in beautiful shape.

I love.....this bike and can't wait for the weather to break!!!

Hubby rides a 2002 Suzuki Volucia. I love telling people that I had my bike first :D :D

Happy riding and please be safe this season,
Darline
I also had a Honda Magna '97 and I loved it. It was originally my husband's but once I got my license I took over it. I've since bought a Harley Street Bob, but I'll never forget the memories I had on the Magna - both when riding in the back and on my own. Enjoy the riding!

Hello! I just joined TMW and I'm looking forward to connecting with other women riders.

I'm currently riding a Harley Street Bob, but I'd also like to get on a sport bike some day. I welcome suggestions. :D

Thanks! :) I bought it in May and have since put 2600 miles on it. The majority of the milage was from a trip up to Montreal from NJ - between competing hobbies and a wet summer, I didn't get in much more riding. I'm really looking forward to getting back on it in the Spring.

I'm in a 'shill my scooters' mood, so... here is the stable in its current iteration:

First, my daily commuter is the blue bike (09 Triumph Sprint ST) on the left:

(The bike on the right is my Daytona before it's, um... transformation pictured below. I forgot how sharp it was stock. May need to get another...)

And then my trackbikes. First off, we have the '06 Triumph Daytona 675:

And my 99 Suzuki SV 650. I just got it back from paint after crashing it; hope to be riding it at Streets of Willow in CA next weekend:

I am new and got my first street bike 2009 Summer. Didn't ride much due to health reasons but am felling great now and can't wait for 2010 Spring.

I live in Markham, Ontario and wish I can find more lady riders to cruise with.

:welcome2:

Once your weather improves and you can ride some more, you'll find other riders. There are groups or clubs you can join if you feel inclined.

Canadian Motorcycle Cruisers comes to mind. They have plenty of women riders.

What's your ride?

And then there's this:

Canada’s inaugural International Women Riders Congress and Festival (IWCF) will take place at Deerhurst Resort in Huntsville, Ontario, August 11 to 15, 2010, thanks to the efforts of the Women Riders’ Council of the Motorcyclists Confederation of Canada (MCC).

Rest of the story: http://motorcycling.ca/mcc/iwcf/?lang=en You just gotta scroll down a ways to actually get to the article.

I'm thinking about going . . .

3 orangey-red Hondas in a row, each representing a different category of bike. What are the odds?
