New Rider
New Rider
Hi... I just joined the forum today
I'm a new rider. About a month ago I took the MSF training course and then bought my first bike. It's taking some getting used to. I learned on a Honda Rebel then ended up buying a Harley (2008 XL883L Sportster). I still have a lot to learn... this forum is great!

Hey to all,
I found this today and thought id give it a shot...Ive just bought a Honda CBF 600s and am learning to ride...with one small difference I have an artificial arm as I was born with part of my left arm missing from just below the elbow...always dreamed of riding a bike, never thought Id actually be able to do it but with help & support of friends and family and the NADB (national assoc. for bikers with a disability) I am getting there...bike is being adapted fairly soon so I can get out and learn to ride it...
Thought I'd say hi here and see what I can learn!

Hey...armless.... to TMW.
It's wonderful to have the opportunity to learn to ride. I wish you the best of luck.
We have a blog section. If you feel inclined you can journal your adventure there for all to read.
Here is another individual who has made it through the struggles of learning to ride one handed. It takes a lot of courage to do what you two do.

Sorry for posting in the Ladies Lounge, but I wanted to welcome you to the community as well.
I love Van Nuys, California! I was just there for the weekend in early February and visited Galpin Autosports (Pimp my ride show)..haha.
Great area, sunny and warm. Ahh...

Hi Hadria,
That's a beautiful new bike. Congrats on passing the MSF.
I'm right over the hill from you in Santa Monica.
I've been riding for a year and a half but still consider myself a beginner.
I'm recovering from my first little crash I had a few weeks ago, but expect to get my bike back this week.
PM me if you would like to get together to ride.
