Bags and other gear
Hi everyone, I'm new to the forum, and a new rider. I have a Honda Nighthawk 250, which I love! The only cons are 1st: Getting tossed around in the wind a bit, a problem I hope to help alleviate by installing a windshield, and 2nd: I seem to have a hard time finding accessories for it. Right now it's got just the stock equipment, but I am looking to equip it with some travel friendly accessories such as some saddle bags or other type of rack/bag system. Anyone have any suggestions? I've spent hours searching the internet, all for naught. I also am looking for suggestions on a riding suit that it suitable for colder weather that is stylish. Anyone have any input?
Thanks!
Thanks!
For a windscreen, look at National Cycle. They have specific fit and some pretty good universal fit windscreen. I bought the F16 model for my bike and I liked the way it performs.
For saddle bags, look at New Enough.com They have good deals and a variety of items. Also check out Chaparral and Motorcycle superstore.

specific's for a nighthawk?
Thanks for the info, but does anyone know of specific items that fit a nighthawk? Most sites that sell equipment indicate they fit certain bikes and I've been unable to find anything stating it will fit a Nighthawk 250...

Honda used to make a few Hondaline accessories for the 250, but now they don't list anything but a tank pad.
For the windshield, an aftermarket dealer like National Cycle has a very wide selection to choose from. Click on this link to see what they have for your bike :

National makes an excellent product. I've been buying their windshields since the 80s. Good mounting hardware and easy installation/removal.

You can likely get a generic windshield like a spitfire that is designed to fight bars of a certain diameter. They come with adjustable mounts so you can fit a various range of motorcycles.

That's just one link that has them - but it's called a universal shield and comes in a few different sizes.

Re: specific's for a nighthawk?
I have a set of Tourmaster Cortech bags (side bags + tail bag) on my SV650 that I've been real happy with. They're light weight and I believe will fit most bikes. Check it out here:LadyBird wrote:Thanks for the info, but does anyone know of specific items that fit a nighthawk? Have you tried this site?

Looks like you have to register to enter, so I didn't bother. You might find what others have done for luggage, though, on that site.
