best bike for little me?

#11 Unread post by Tamlyn »

I have just purchased a Suzuki Bandit 400V. It's a smaller frame and I feel very comfortable and in control when riding. It has a lot of power so the potential is there, yet it's not over-bearing. It is a little top heavy, but once you find the limits in leaning while standing still, the confidence and enjoyment grows each time I ride. But I've always liked the Bandit for it's naked mod design. When I went test-riding, I have to say (probably biased) that the Bandit 400 was my most comfortable fit. Only thing I battle with is the darn turning circle! Good luck...

My wife is 4'9" with a 24" inseam so she is vertically chalenged to say the least. She started out last year on a 250 Virago and this year has graduated up to a Yamaha vstar 650. We lowered it four inches in the rear put on floorboards and got some phatts II risers to bring the bars back two inches. She now has a drivers back rest here is a pic this pic was taken before the floorboards and risers were installed.
