Apparently the Health Minister in BC has decided that we've reached our peak in BC and the Swine Flu is on a down swing here... 
An internet friend's husband just died yesterday from complications of H1N1. He was hospitalized at the end of October with pneumonia... complications from swine flu.
He went downhill pretty steadily and fast. He was in his mid/late 30s, and I cannot imagine what she is going through right now.
