Figured I'd post this here-I kinda slid it into another thread.

So while you all were having fun in Colorado, I kept myself busy around here. Busy enough that, um, I'm due in mid-May :baby:

I'm still riding as much as I can, within reason. The air helps the nausea, but I'm letting the BF pull the bike out of the garage for me and staying out of heavy traffic.

We're already planning on a combination surfing/motorcycle themed nursery

Yup-37 years old and this is my first pregnancy. Can you say "SCARED OUTTA MY MIND!" :roll2:

But we're excited, if still shaking in our shoes.

I figure if the baby made it this far with all the crazy crap I've done since August, we're going to be just fine.

For me the worst part of being pregnant was that I didn't really know what I didn't know (about what my body would do and feel, mostly). So I couldn't even ASK what to expect.

Strangers would just volunteer their horror birth stories also. That got REAL old.

I know all about not knowing right now-I had no idea I was pregnant until it dawned on me that I hadn't had a cycle in a while. I just had achy hips and back and I've been really fatigued. Didn't start getting nauseous until this week-and I think that has more to do with the vitamins in combination with radically changing my diet.

I've been driving my friends nuts with phone calls and questions. I have a legal pad ready to go with questions for my Dr. visit on Tuesday.

My biggest fear? I was 22 inches long and almost 12 pounds at birth. My brother was 24 inches long and almost 13 pounds. We both had black eyes from the delivery and broke my mom's pelvis. I don't think other people's horror stories are going to phase me.

Congrats!!

From a guy's point of view, back when I was 20 (I started early), the series of books 'What to expect when' are great. There's 'when you are expecting', and then some about certain age groups.

Helped me understand things that she couldn't explain to me, so I didn't take nearly as much of the craziness personally.

At any rate, it's a must read for him, and I'm sure it will help you.

:teehee:

And I am SO SO SO kidding, congrats and I just know you are going to do a great job with your man making this kid into a fine young American.

Woman I am attending a wedding (Heck I'm in it) at Folly Beach this coming weekend, for my good friend and we're all riders or rider-friendly, rolling in from Augusta for her wedding and ensueing party. Groom is on a Triumph. I'm taking the Kawasaki. We're all a real friendly, no-frills group, wanna stop by and have some punch afterwards?

Uh-yeah! :D Call me or PM me if you need my number-I literally live on the way to Folly. I'll have BF pull out the bike for me.

ETA: We just be back in the 80's and sunny next weekend if you need a weather forecast-not sure about Augusta, but we only got to 57 yesterday
