<sigh> done for the season...

 Discovered oil dripping on my rear wheel last week. Fortunately it is NOT the dreaded BMW Final Drive Failure, but failure of the rear main transmission seal.

Techs have been cautioning me that it was going to need replacing since Spring. Not a complex fix, but the rear end of the bike has to come off to get at it. I'm just grateful that I've got a more than competent bike tech (hubby) who is willing to do the fix for me, AND that it is November, not May.

LL glad you were home when it went out on you. You need a second motorcycle!!!

A mere 58,000 miles. I bought the bike new, in March of 2005.

The ride to Colorado and back pretty well confirmed that the bike suits and fits me perfectly.

Ain'"lightbulb" nice ot have the right bike under you?

My Connie shares the stable with two other bikes (hubby has two more of his own, I have three), and it about to turn 50k miles, bought new in '06.

Seriously, there ain't nothing like climbing on the bike and thinking, "I could ride this machine all day and all night," and then doing just that....

Hey P wouldja show us some pics of the build??? I just love that stuff....
