route comparison?

#1 Unread post by DSZirk250 »

I would love a degree of difficulty comparison for the MILLION DOLLAR HIGHWAY in the San Juan mountain skyway, BEARTOOTH PASS and THE DRAGON! I've done the last two, and am headed for the Million Dollar Highway this summer. I'm nervous for the mountains! The Dragon was really no problem for me! Opinions???

Difficulty in what way? If you can keep it on the road and between the lines the Million Dollar Highway will be no problem unless an oncoming touron decides they have to drive on the centerline because the edge is too scary.

I was referring to grade or climb, perhaps, hairpin turns.

If I recall correctly it's mostly wide sweeping curves.
The views are awesome as are the dropoffs without guardrails.
It's the dropoffs that cause flatlanders problems.
