TT racing looks more fun!

#1 Unread post by VermilionX »

i have 2 music videos that i watch a lot.

motoGP "animals" and isle of mann TT "liberate"

TT just looks more fun than track racing.

i know it's more dangerous but something about having regular streets as background appeals to me more.

Yeah, looks tight, just don't crash or you'll run into a gutter or fence... or a house. No sandtraps to catch you there.

Know where I can download that video permanently?

Also, this might interest you: http://www.gov.im/tourism/motorsport/bike/tt.xml

yup they do it is 2 weeks long, the first week is practice so plenty of chances to hit a tree or a stone wall. Then there is Mad Sunday when all the public get to ride the course, plenty of carnage then. It used to be a GP event but the riders protested against it in the 70's as too dangerous. It has survived as a stand alone event since, but has always recieved bad publicity due to the deaths.
We have short circuit street races here in NZ, it is amazing to be standing on the pavement(sidewalk) and have bikes zooming past and you could reach out and touch them.......and the noise as the engines reverbarate off the buildings...fantastic and deafening.....everyone wears earplugs...a great form of racing.. :dog:

During TT fortnight the whole of the isle of man goes bike crazy.Think of it as englands answer to daytona or sturgis.Theres often more than one death.Theres no speed limits outside the towns , So as you can imagine the bikers turn the whole island into a race track ,Iwhen the racing isnt on, As theres cars on the road aswell this gets pretty hairy. The isle of man has just installed it first speed camera and are talking of introducing a blanket 60mph speed limit. They know this will affect the tourism and could mean the end of the TT.If you really want to see more of the TT go to www.dukevideo.com .they do plenty of dvd/videos on it.xjrjohn
biking isnt a matter of life or death, its far more important(bill shankley, well almost)
