New Champions

#1 Unread post by kabob983 » Mon Oct 02, 2006 10:14 am

Wow, lots of championships changing hands this weekend.

Spies took home the new AMA superbike #1 plate, although he's lost alot of steam at the end of this season (even said his hand was healed before this race). Mladin looked like a winner out there yesterday. Josh Hayes is the new Formula Extreme champ (I was sure it'd be Bostrom). Wonder what he'll be able to do on the new '07 CBR next year.

And the new WSBK champ, Bayliss. Dominant as ever. It'll be interesting to see where all the free agents end up next year! I hope that somehow Hodgson finds a way back to WSBK with Ducati!

World Superbike

#7 Unread post by Kal » Tue Oct 10, 2006 12:25 am

So, anyone else see Magny-Cours?

The second race, final race for World SuperBike race for 2006 saw James Toseland (Honda), Troy Corser (Suzuki) & Troy Bayliss (Ducati)

Best racing I've seen in a long time - all three of them went hammer and tongs full on for the entire race and all of them led at different times - repeatedly... Awesome

I think Biaggi is overrated and will flop in WSB...I think Alstare would have been better sticking with Corser.

And yeah, the last round of WSB was great! You should have seen race 1, Haga went from 13th place or so to 1st, and ended in 2nd. He rode the wheels off of his bike...wow.

There are long-shot rumors that Biaggi may dump the Suzuki deal and pick up over at Kawasaki for Moto-GP. A real long shot, and too bad for Kawasaki. Nakano is one of the most talented riders out there and now he is at Honda.....

not yet.

but since it won't matter anymore who wins... my interest is gone.

No it wasn't good. It was great. 3 world champions at the top of their game with nothing to lose - no strategies, no politics. Just getting on the Bikes and seeing just who really is the best.

If I could give you anything Verm it would be to change your focus in life from the destination to the journey. The destination is rarely, if ever important, it's the journey that counts.
