New Champions

#1 Unread post by kabob983 »

Wow, lots of championships changing hands this weekend.

Spies took home the new AMA superbike #1 plate, although he's lost alot of steam at the end of this season (even said his hand was healed before this race). Mladin looked like a winner out there yesterday. Josh Hayes is the new Formula Extreme champ (I was sure it'd be Bostrom). Wonder what he'll be able to do on the new '07 CBR next year.

And the new WSBK champ, Bayliss. Dominant as ever. It'll be interesting to see where all the free agents end up next year! I hope that somehow Hodgson finds a way back to WSBK with Ducati!

World Superbike

So, anyone else see Magny-Cours?

The second race, final race for World SuperBike race for 2006 saw James Toseland (Honda), Troy Corser (Suzuki) & Troy Bayliss (Ducati)

Best racing I've seen in a long time - all three of them went hammer and tongs full on for the entire race and all of them led at different times - repeatedly... Awesome

I think Biaggi is overrated and will flop in WSB...I think Alstare would have been better sticking with Corser.

And yeah, the last round of WSB was great! You should have seen race 1, Haga went from 13th place or so to 1st, and ended in 2nd. He rode the wheels off of his bike...wow.
