i didn't know it was illegal in AMA. i wonder if yamaha overlooked that rule.

i'd put traction control on my bike when it becomes available. :D

Actually, it looks like the AMA is judging it to be legal, given that it is standard equipment on a commercially available streetbike. The new rulling just hasn't been communicated yet, as stated in the followup to the original story.

Verm, did you put the TRE on the 750? If you did, you have removed a basic form of traction control. Why do you think they mentally challenged the timing in the first place?

that may be a form of traction control... but it's a mentally challenged one. it doesn't matter, as long as you're in 1st-4th gear, the timing is mentally challenged.

the one i want is the one that only ret@rds the power during a rear wheel slide.

oh and they put the timing ret@rd for the same reason they put optimistic speedos on the bikes.

The reason that they fit optomistic speedos is the same as why they fit pessimistic speedo's...
