I used to race, but started my PhD so barely get the track time I used to get. There's nothing like it, hands down.

Yes, I can't agree more. its like going from Street to Track totally different experience. Now regular track days are used as practice sessions and are at a much slower rate of speed. Hope you get your PHD soon so you can enjoy some track time.

I wish, I'm currently applying to medical school with the military (best trainers in the world). Hopefully I can get permission from my command to race, but I doubt it

It's a trade off for some of the most cutting edge medical care, brand name medicine, free treatment and follow ups for life. Have you seen the prosthetics the military guys are getting? Some cost more than $250,000. Anyway, the military medical School (Uniformed Services University of Health Sciences) has an extra 700 hours of curriculum than any other medical school and produces some of the best doctors in the world. There's no question that their surgeons get the best training opportunities (sadly)

I race, but i'm almost never on here. This is my fourth year of competitive racing. I compete in the Loudon Road Racing Series. Just did my first ASRA race as well.

Expert Lightweight Supersport, Lightweight Superbike, Lightweight Grand Prix and GT Lights (20 minute GT as opposed to an 8 lap sprint like the rest).

The bike's an '06 SV650.
