MotoGP... boring???

#1 Unread post by sunshine229 »

After watching the 2011 TT coverage all week I tried watching the MotoGP this weekend and found it boring!

I now also want to go to the Isle of Man to take a ride. Just not at 180 mph!!!!!!!!!

Anyone else fancy a go at the TT or MotoGP if it were ever to become an option?

I would love to watch the TT in person. There's nothing remotely like it in the world!

We took at look at going to the Isle of Man via the motorcycles on a ferry and it was 225 GBP for just 2 bikes. OUCH. Wish we could have been at the TT this year but we watched EVERY race on the TV. :D

Sunshine I can understand what you mean. I tend to look at it more from a design and engineering standpoint and look at how far over they get those bikes, it's just amazing!
As for the question, yes I'd go to either if I had a chance!

Haven't been to either TT or MotoGP but would definately choose TT.

When we went to Northwest 200 in 2008 part of the fun was that you could scoot about & change viewing positions (either inside or outside of race loop).

Also the whole community becomes involved as it is important for tourism.

Hoping we can go to TT next year but trouble is you nearly have to book ferries now!

If we were still going to be living here next June we would be booking now to go to the TT.

We checked into taking our bikes there for a weekend in September... bloody ferry is £250!!!

I have to admit, we've watched some MotoGP lately and it's actually quite good. I think I just needed some time away from the Isle of Man to appreciate the MotoGP again. Anyone else experience this?
