Hi there..

I have a 1990 yz80 that wont stay running. It will start and run for about 10 seconds and then cut out. If I let it sit for a few minutes it will start again and then run for another 10 seconds or so and cut out again. I took the carburator off and cleaned it and put it back on. It looked ok to me. Anyway, that dident solve the problem. It still does the same thing. Any ideas? Any help on this would be cool. Thanks...

Check the compression. Sounds like the piston may be siezing. Expect to rebuild the top end.
