How much does motocross experience matter?

as a former dirt bike rider going to a street bike is a way different experience, you can't control any street bike with ur body weight, a cruiser bike don't have the footpegs at the center of gravity, you have to reley on the brakes more, what happens is ur skills are limited on a street bike where ur skills are unlimited on a dirt bike, on a dirt bike its more about the skill of the rider, on a street bike everybody rides them the same way and ur forced to ride it the same way too, you can't make the street bike do what you want it to do, ur in the same league as a beginner or a pro when u ride a street bike. To me, its not fun or exciting riding a street bike as it was riding a dirt bike, the feeling of being scared like ur going to die isn't there for me riding any street bike. You can be the best motocrosser out there but when ur riding a street bike your just as good as anybody else.

You seem to have it arse-about.
Anybody can ride a chookchaser, which is why it is dominated by little children made of rubber. The margin for error on a chookchaser is immense, so riding them is just too easy for most people to bother with.

I'd say trail riding helps more than MX styled riding. On trails, lots of clutch work, lots of sudden obsticals, bad conditions, all of which can be related to the street to some extent (well, most. Hitting a hidden stump when bushwhacking doesn't help too much on the road ). So yes, dirt bike experiance helps. But still, keep it under 80bhp. My ninja 650 is like what, 65 hp? It still kicks ya in the "O Ring" and goes like a bat out of hell, but the front end is yet to come up on my at WOT. Sure, the front wheel has gotten light and was only kinda sorta touch the pavment, but overall it's not bad.

I would say its easiser for a dirt bike rider to ride a street bike than it is for a street bike rider to ride a dirt bike. To me after riding a dirt bike I feel very confident riding any street bike, any street bike feels underpowered to me, like riding a toy. Any of you street bike guys, even you guys that ride crotch rockets would be scared and crying to ur mama if you were riding my CRF450, those cute little fat girls are too dumb to know anybody can ride a crotch rocket, but the real girls with brains know the dirt bike riders are the real pros.

Absolutely.

It is a little known fact that girls love being picked up on chookchasers and taken out to dinner via dirt tracks and alleyways because they are not allowed to ride on the roads! I suppose the kids that ride them aren't old enough for a licence so it beats taking the bus I guess.
