Is this a C or S BMW K75? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayI ... otohosting (hope you can open these pics. If not and you are really interested in helping me out I can send them to you.
It seems to have a rear drum brake which is C right? But the dealer says "discs alla around".
But the rest all says S. Any help would be great.

It's a C w/ an S top fairing. S's also had rear discs and lower fairings, and prob a few other things that I can't think of. The VIN would tell you for sure, but the rear drum tells us it's a C model.

Where can I check the VIN to make sure? And what kind of dealer cant see that its a drum brake?
How much lower in value are the C bike in comparison to the S's?

there are several bmw specific forums out there. Overall, I'm sure they would be a much bigger help then the people here (sorry guys :) ).

i was shopping for a k series bmmer a few months ago, and i never noticed any price difference between c's and s's,,i guess because they were both 20+ years old. I still really want a K bike some day...

Are you challenging me?? :mrgreen:

The VIN is WB1057409G0130077

W = BMW AG Munich
B = BMW
1 = Motorcycle
0 = 2-wheeled motorcycle
5 = Line Type (k-series)
7 = Engine Type (3 cyl, petrol)
4 = Net Horsepower
(Above 3 are in-house codes for bmw)
0 = No meaning
9 = Check Digit
G = Model Year code (1986)

0130077 - Bike number

K75C US Models produced 10/85 run from 0130003 0130279

This bike is thus a K75C

K75S begin with Vin Number 0150001

Homework... sheesh. :laughing:

Maybe, but in reality they'd probably just get into an argument about the meaning of the 3rd or 4th digit in the vin instead of answering the stinkin question... (You must belong to a vespa forum or list that does similar stuff :laughing: )
