Buy $7,000 sportbike before $300 protective Jacket. Faulty logic? At least you have a helmet ... :|

well since u all got stuff to say about my safty stuff like a jacket and helmet and stuff, heres the deal. i did have all this stuff at one time(last season) but this winter my dad past away so i was selling off my stuff to help my mom with money for the time being. i was going to sell my bike to pay for a year of school but she wouldnt let me because she knew how much i loved it. so before i get more comments on my gear and my bike and my age(no im not 16 im 20) just dont. i joint up on here to learn some things and talk to people that liked bikes too. sorry im not older and ride some old bike too. right now i only make enough to live where i do so i cant buy a jacket. a new jacket is almost a months rent.

Neese, don't feel the need to justify not having full gear. You are an adult and can make your own decisions. If you know the importance of having full gear and choose to ride without it; its your business.

I fail to see how putting yourself more at risk helps your Mom - There are plenty of discount gear places out there.

I've bought from these guys before so I can vouch for them

This is an awesome deal on a Perf leather Jacket, and they even have blue.

Here's a Tex Jacket - A steal and also in blue

first off welcome and nice bike.

second, as one of the safety nuts, get the gear as soon as you can. Since you know the importance of it i won't preach at you just yet.

I'd recommend one of those Joe Rocket mesh jackets since they are pretty cheap and you can put them on over or under a hoody or big sweat shirt. also get some gloves not only for safety, but they can help keep your hands from getting as sore if you ride a lot.
