Just got a bike!!!
Just got a bike!!!
Hey guys, I kind of have an important question. Well, first off I just got a bike for my Dad for Father's Day, I'm so excited!!! He's never really ridden one but has always wanted one, so I kind of got him a beater bike. It is by no means a great bike but it will do the job, especially for the price at this time in Missouri. It is a suzuki GN 400, but everything on it works perfectly. I paid 810 for it. The guy is coming over tonight and here is my important question. I don't really want my dad seeing the thing when the guy comes over but do I need my dad to sign the bill of sale or can I? Can I sign the title or does my Dad need to? Or can I just have the seller sign the title and then later have my Dad sign where he needs to? I don't know if it will be a big problem if I sign everything and if I will even need to transfer the title into his name because I won't even be riding it much so it basically is his. I don't know if this will cause a bunch of probs. Let me know your thoughts, I always appreciate your guys' help since I've never had a motorcycle or bought anything used. Thanks so much.

Just have the seller sign over everything on his part, then when you give the title to your dad he can just fill it out. How is your DMV going to know when your dad signed it?
Also it is important to verify that the VIN on the title and the bike match up.
