Never throw away any part that you replace on your bike, unless it's so badly damaged as to be worthless. IF you ever decide to sell your bike, you're going to want to put it back to stock and sell the accessories separately. Spending $10000 in extras on your bike doesn't make it worth a penny more unless the buyer wants all of that stuff already installed.
Of course I'm generalizing from a single example here, but everyone does that. At least I do.

hmmm... reflectors are required by law? didn't know that.

thanks for info but i really don't wanna put them back on.
I couldn't find anything in the CA vehicle code that specifically mentions reflector requirements for motorcycles. However, anyone who would do something to make their bike less visible at night is taking "form over function" to a dangerous extreme.

If you get into a wreck at night after having removed your reflectors, you'd better pray that the insurance adjuster(s) don't find out.

all you need is;

half a brain (to bad)
half a clue (uh oh, to bad)
Bike skills (bummer dood)

Mate, you missed the boat on all 3, maybe if ya get those new carbon fibre fork protectors, or the whiz bang OEM EFI chip upgrade, or those uber cool slip ons, no one will notice that you have no skills :)

lol
