nice bike, and 100% agree with you about it being sexier
VermilionX wrote:WOW! it sure didn't take long. i estimate somewhere around 3 secs. once i get the TRE, i'll reach 60 even faster.
I see you use the term TRE everywhere and still don't know what the hell it is.

Please explain for the inner tard in me that can't figure it out :frusty:

TRE - timing mentally challenged eliminator.

it's known by other names too. TRE is just the one for suzuki.

suzuki bikes have a limiter on the fuel injection sys at 1st gear to 4th gear. it's very noticeable especially when starting from a stop. there's a delay in power delivery.

also, it has a limiter that limits tops speed at 186mph while on 6th gear.

the top speed is not a factor now since i now have a 750 and it can't reach 186mph anyway unless some heavy modding is done.

the TRE fools the bikes computer into thinking it is always in 5th where there are no limiters of any sort.

so basically, it will make the fuel injection smooth all the time instead of just in the higher gears. it will also let the bike go fast as much as the horsepower allows it to.

the gear indicator will always display 5th but it's fine since i don't need the gear indicator anymore.

so yeah, i'll gain more hp and torque down low but the top speed will remain the same.

it's such a cheap and simple to do mod. im expecting my TRE to arrive in the mail some time this week or early next week.

6/6/06

thanks guys!

went joyriding tonight... i got 60 miles... now at 90 miles. woohoo! 10 more miles and i don't have to worry about tires so much as now.

anyway, i was passed by 2 aggressive cruiser riders, one even had apehangers.

i was tempted to ride at their pace and i did for a while, until on one sharp turn where i got caught off-guarded. i slowed down and lost them for a while. i caught up w/ them later but i decided to head home in one of intersections were we stopped.

anyway... im very satisfied w/ the 750. it's really fast enough for me. i'll still install a TRE though. maybe after a year... i'll get me a PCIII and AM pipes too. but for now, all i desire to as an upgrade is the TRE.

the bike seems pretty tame to me but that's probably bec i had a 1000 before.

congrats on the 750. I love that color scheme, it looks soo much sexier in person.

the fender eliminator makes it look soo much better than stock.

Im getting my new bike on saturday.
