I recently purchased some LED lights, and want to install them somewhere near the engine. The problem is that l don't really want to do any drilling on the gauge panel to place on/off button. Do you guys have any suggestions of mounting that damn button?? :frusty: :frusty:

get a small plastic "project box" like they sell at Radio Shack. Mount your switch (or switches!) in the box, then cut a couple of holes in the bottom of the box to thread zip-ties through. Zip-tie the box to wherever you want.

Try the auto parts stores for toggle switches. Should be able find a box to work. Just take the original toggle out and replace with your button or, get rid of the button and wire the lights to the toggle.

I'd go the zip tie route as well for mounting.

Get something like this

Or, find a small body panel that you can drill into and do it that way. If it's a small body panel, you can buy a spare from a wrecker or dealership to replace the drilled one with if you ever sell the bike.
