exhaust pops

What does it mean when the exhaust pops on a bike? The bike has under 5k miles but hasn't been started up in about 3 weeks. Thanks.

If it does one big bang it means you opened the throttle too much before hitting the start button.

Just excess gas/fumes...nothing to worry about.

When does it "pop"?
If it backfires after decel, it usually means a lean condition.
If it backfires trying to start, means fouled plugs.
