That would have stopped my heart...Glad it wasen't worse. Get your self one of those $2 kick stand plates... I have one and have had to use it more than I thought I would have to.

If you park on concrete you have no worries. It will not sink.

asphalt is another matter. On a hot day your kickstand will sink. Use a "foot" or can to spread the weight out a little.
I would be the old, slow guy. Just let me know where you are going and I'll try to get there before you leave.

i almost had that happen. i parked on gravel in a lot and luckally i thought before leaving the bike to put a big flat rock under the stand. glad the bike is okay.

They gave us those little kickstand plates when at the end of the MSF class I took. It was mighty nice of them.
A dog had his chain reduced one link at a time, every few days, until his chain was so short he could barely move. He never resisted because he was conditioned to the loss of his freedom slowly, over time. Are we in this country becoming like the dog?
