BEST BIT OF ADVICE YOU'VE EVER BEEN GIVEN?

#1 Unread post by David E »

"Never lend money and never borrow money" - that was a good bit of advice given to me once by an old guy with red braces.

He also said "When you get older you want less sex and more cake." (Not exactly advice, but I guess it's true enough).

"Treat other people like you'd like to be treated." That's good too.

You people been given any good advice?

Measure twice, cut once. Some carpenter dude on TV.

Don't buy a used car or bike at night.

Give a man a fish and he'll eat for a day. Teach him how to fish and he'll sit in a boat and drink beer all day.

Never test the depth of the water with both feet.

oppinions are like "Donut Holes" , everyone has one and they are usually full of "poo poo".

learn from the mistakes of others, you wont live long enough to make them all yourself

arguing on the internet is like running in the special olymipcs- even if you win your still mentally challenged.

im sure there are more that i cant think of right now. good thread though.

Never argue with an idiot, they'll drag you down to their level then beat you with experience.
A dog had his chain reduced one link at a time, every few days, until his chain was so short he could barely move. He never resisted because he was conditioned to the loss of his freedom slowly, over time. Are we in this country becoming like the dog?
