Sorry to hear about the accident, but glad you made it.......

So when you say your jaw will be wired shut, does this mean liquid diet for all those weeks? How does that affect the 'system'...

Wired shut jaw? I bet your friends are going to make fun of you for that one.

Get better soon, I hope you recover a lot faster then the docs say you will.
Of course I'm generalizing from a single example here, but everyone does that. At least I do.

I might as well highjack my own thread...

What's YOUR concussion story? Reactions?

I was disoriented and had momentary amnesia... no clue wth had happened or where I was.

that's pretty typical for a concussion. you will forget pretty much 10-30 seconds before the concussion happens and a bit after.

basically your brain comes whooshing forward and smokes the inside of your skull.

never had one, but i should have had a couple with how clutzy i am.

glad you are okay.

to hijack this thread in a new way....

your one handed typing is very good...lots of previous practice?

I had one when 10. Symptoms include:

- Vomitting...lots and lots of it.
- Lost sense of balance
- Unawareness of surrounding
- Headache
- Slurred speech both by myself and those speaking to me.
- Sensitivity to light
- Blurriness

It sucks. Took me about 2 weeks to rid of all above symptoms.

And oh yeah - I was walking to my school bus when "Billy the @sshole" ran into me and I collided with the steel street light pole.
