:D

it's a teknic violator gloves and a teknic 7 plate spine protector.

i got them from newenough closeout section.

i would have bought another pair of the 1stgear millenium gloves since i really liked it but they don't carry them anymore.

anyway, the teknic violator gloves is way better than millenium anyway. the spine protector is also cool since i can wear them even w/ my regular riding jacket.

Whats a spine protector? I've seen the big reptile-looking things (pardon the reference) for dirtbike stunters on the net but I've never seen a spine protector in any of the gear shops or dealers I've been to. Please educate me!

Interesting. I'm not sure how much I like the fact that it has their brand name written on each plate! You'd think once would be enough. A little tacky. I can't stand how companies insist on making their customers into walking billboards and (hence) free advertising.

Especially with those dealership emblems on cars. I refuse to allow dealers to apply those to a vehicle, although admittedly I have never shopped at a dealer that did it (the last time I bought a car I told the dealer not to apply any kind of emblem to the vehicle, and he just smirked and told me that they had more class than that). Sometimes I think I'll just demand a monthly advertising fee if any dealer insists on putting their name on my car.

Anyway back on topic! Are these worth the money for regular riding gear?

i wear a GSX-R cap and my car has 3 huge GSX-R stickers on it.

it's not so much advertising, im just proud to own one .

anyway... the spine protector is gonna go inside the jacket or 1 pc suit. so it's not really gonna be visible.

worth the money? im sure it is. anything that adds protection is always good. also, it's not too much of a burden to put on. plus it's on sale. :D

Well based on statistics of neck/back injuries, I'd rather it go all the way up to the base of the skull. I dont know how comfortable that would be, but it seems to me that such a system would be more effective protecting primarily the cervical vertebrae. I honestly wouldn't know if such a gear piece would completely impede your ability to turn your head though!

That's what the hump on the back of a 1 piece suit is for.

I have the Icon version where there's also chest protection but it makes me look like i'm wearing a bulletproof vest. Just make sure it'll fit in your jacket.
