Da-yum , it's amazing how many of you young fellars seem to be sooooo insecure in your own masculinity . Shame on ya for still assigning colors to gender in the 21st century .
Oh and btw , once again I am in total agreement with Sev .

nothing to do with blue being assigned to boys and pink to girls, not for me at least, but there's just something about a blue bike. I am pretty sure any bike I get will have blue on it, might have other colors.....
if you are worried about pink being homosexual, well, then you better throw away any black leather you might have, and as a motorcyclist, that could be a lot... you know they wear shoes too, better not wear those. I've heard from some people around that homosexuals breathe air as well, better stop that or people will call you gay! you, you gay breather and all....
mocking aside, pink and light blue can be great colors on us guys, just look at the dress shirts, often either salmon, pink, light blue, or yellow. That being said, peptobismal aint my favorite pink, I'd rather something either more faded or brighter, like hot pink, with black accents. Then again, like I said I will likely only ride blue bikes, all my pedal bikes are blue, my SV is blue, when I do the repairs on the jeep its gonna get some blue.
though I dont know where pink comes into the color rules:
Blue = lighter
red = faster
yellow/orange = safer
black = tougher
white = cooler
silver = sharper
gold = blingier
green = invisible (in VT at least)
purple = chick magnetier

these rules were delveoped between my old roomy and me, so where does pink fit in? is it semi-fast and semi-cool?

Theres just something about a blue bike....

That's the response I was looking for...

I'd say pink would definetely have to equate to confidence or something along those lines.

A riding friend of mine is gay, and he has 6 or 7 bikes, none of which are pink.

I'll have to tell him he needs to paint one pink or people are going to think he's strait.

Personally I really don't care what colour the bike I ride is(oh except for the sic off white my current ride was, note the was) as I am red green colour blind . Hence the purple bike I ride now, thought it was blue when I bought the paint. Oh well at least I didn't buy pink.

I think my favorites would be black, blue (any shade), or dark green, but I can't afford to be picky. If it runs that's all that matters!

I don't like pink though. If I bought a pink bike I'd also buy a bucket of paint. Don't care if it means you're gay or not, it's just a crappy color for a vehicle.

Oh also brown. I think a brown bike would be cool... I'd never have to wash it.

I'm *this* close to pulling the trigger on a Datyona 675 purchase, but they only have one Scorched Yellow in stock.

Damn, I can't see myself on a friggin' yellow motorcycle. (no offence to the yellow motorcycle riding people here) :D

Grrr.. what to do, what to do.

I think I might try convincing myself that yellow is cool. :D

Screw you! Yellow's a cool color :P

Haha
Of course I'm generalizing from a single example here, but everyone does that. At least I do.

I would ride any colour bike that made the bike look good. However there are so many colours that just do not suit a motorcycle. Bikes need a strong (usually dark) colour to make them appealing.
This being said I will never own another black bike. I have only ever owned two and they were the only bikes I have written off.
