- full gauntlet style
- leather with hard knuckle reinforcements
- good ventilation for hot weather
- about $70-80 price range. (*maybe* up to $100 but it better be worth it)

any suggestions?

I noticed there is a *huge* variation in price for similar style gloves, for example: this and this

Cortech Carbon Comp II gloves... full gauntlet, good quality leather and stitching, hard armor protection, very well ventilated, and you can find them online in the price range you are looking at or less. I love mine, they fit well and the ventilation works great.

I've never tried these but almost did... http://www.frank-thomas.co.uk/product/mgl/mglove.html cyclegear.com is the only site I know of online in the US that sells them.

I just bought a pair of Marsee Motorcycle Race Gloves I haven't gotten them yet, but you can read the review if you'd like.

Cost me ~$86, so a little on the high side of your proposed budget.

Ditto.
They have a great finish, have the carbon knuckle protectors which I think are a must and are good in warm and slightly cooler temperatures.
