looks good in both design and specs... did they ever sell those in the U.S.?

those things are so much better than the ninja250s that we still have today. it even has more power than a GS500. too bad they don't make them anymore.

I just right clicked and chose to view image. The front looks nice just that the back appears to be kinda bulky. Unfortunately theres not much of a market in the U.S. for bikes in the 250 - 500 cc range because here you can pretty much start out on a bigger bike unlike the EU where they have tiered licensing. You should check out the Japanese 250 Ninja, it's not the one we got here.

Ever notice how people across the pond get nicer compact vehicles while we churn out gas guzzling behemoths. 6.40 a gallon spurs innovation.
One thing you can count on: You push a man too far, and sooner or later he'll start pushing back.

The RGV is a two-stroke so it is doubtful it made it past the super-tight emission laws in the US. We have had them here forever. They go like a stung cat and are a real favourite for the boy racers, so the majority have been crashed at one time or another.
They are no longer learner legal here so they have really lost some appeal.

There aren't any emissions laws down here in SC. Hell, if there were there'd be a heck of a lot less old smoke-mobiles that run on oil, they're usually the worst drivers out there because they're usually drunk!

I wouldn't. It keeps dangerously fast bikes out of the hands of idiots that can't ride yet.
Restrictions last a year, but emission laws are forever.

UK is a year as well...
Of course I'm generalizing from a single example here, but everyone does that. At least I do.
