Well, after spending about 700 hours researching online, and a good dozen trips to the dealer to check out bikes, I've decided on my new ride: a 2006 Suzuki GSX-R750. I told my wife it's "dead tissue black with dried blood red accents". Not sure she appreciated the description.

I pick it up in a couple of hours. Damn, I haven't been able to concentrate on a thing all day. And forget about sleeping last night! I woke up at 5:00am thinking about the bike; felt like Christmas as a kid again.

BTW, I'd like to say it was my research and reading all the good press about the new gixxer that helped my make my decision, but I have to admit it was just seeing VermilionX's ride that sealed the deal. I'm getting some new decals, a TRE, and a new Katana to strap to the side tomorrow.

Come ON, clock! Move!

Oh, and I know I'm so new here that no one knows me, but I'll still say thanks to everyone for giving me hours of reading material to go through. The forums are great.

Sorry, I thought it was easy to see that I was just joking about the VermilionX thing. Of course that's just joking around... the rest is real.

1 hour and 45 minutes!

EDIT: actually, after reading it again I see it could be hard to see my intent. It's a little jab at you-know-who, and a sincere thanks to the forums.

Great choice of bike - I like the colour, glad you stayed away from blue unlike the masses.

ahhh ok, cause i caught the jabs and got that, but when you thanked us and such, and talked about all the advise and such you got, threw me off.

Congrat (although personally I like the blue as well, especially the 600 with the blue wheels!). What bike # is this?
