This is bike #2 for me. Well, kind of #3. I rode my dad's '82 Nighthawk 750 for a while when I was 18. That was 14 years ago. I bought a brand new Katana 750 in '99, had that for a few years, and now I've upgraded to this WIDOW MAKER, OVERPOWERED FREAKING JET ENGINE OF A BIKE.

I forgot my camera at work, so I can't post pics tonight, which kind of makes this a lame Bike Day thread. Sorry. Maybe tomorrow.

The difference between this and the Katana is pretty amazing. It almost feels as fast as that bike did, and I'm only using 1/2 throttle and keeping it under 7000 RPMs. Amazing bike, I just love it.

I also picked up a new helmet today as well. Memories of that seagull in the head coupled with Big Ben's recent smackup helped me go with a way better helmet than I'd normally spring for. I picked this baby up:

Probably the best fitting helmet I've ever touched. I love the thing.

Wife and kids are in bed right now... I'm trying to stop myself from a quick trip around the city. Did I mention I love this bike?

i didn't care about the 7.5K rpm limit that the manual says.

push it man! push it!

well they say you can't miss what you never had. but yeah, i miss that xtra boost the 1000 gave me.

but yeah, like you... i love my 750. i still want a 1000 but love the 750.

and the 750 is just a better looking bike.

good thing i personalized mine already since you picked the same color as mine.

I managed to grab a few quick shots of the beast at work.

I actually removed the passenger pegs just after taking this, I think it's a little cleaner looking now. My wife won't get on it yet, so I figured why bother keeping the pegs on?

I'm not sure if this is a Suzuki logo or a Superman logo, because that's what you feel like on it. heh

Oh how I wish they had vanity plates for bikes.

we have vanity plates in PA.
that is a sweet ride btw.

and if you thinking wakeing up at 5 because of your bike is bad...wait till its in your garage...youll be wakeing up every 3 hours to sneak out and be with her...your wife will get a little jealous when she realizes whats goin on...but by then youll be as stealth as a ninja...and when your that stealthy... youll have a bed role in your garage...

What model helmet is that? I have the X-Eleven, and absolutely love it. Shoei makes a good product...

Yeah those RF-1000 helmets are just awesome...wish I had one but...$$$ !!

nice looking bike. just out of curiosity, how long can you ride something like that before you want to die from back/hand pain?

for me... my hand starts to hurt after around 60 miles. back hurts later around 100 along w/ my thighs and butt.

after a while, im sure my body will adjust and i'll be able to withstand it longer.
