What to pay when getting a new bike - MSRP is not valid

I'd just go around to dealers and have them play off each other. Thats what I did when I bought my car and I ended up paying 10k OTD under MSRP.

Find a bike thats been sitting there for a while, a new 05 model if you are going new. Might be different for bikes, but they'll want to dump it. A year old untitled 50 mile car is still brand new (cars can be especially had brand new cheap if they were demos and have less than 1k mileage) and buying at the right season helps. I always try to buy in December because they want to shovel out inventory for the next tax year.
