Pipe advice

Hey guys. So I'm turning to my faithful TMW Keepers of Knowledge as many of the guys on sportbike-specific forums are absolutely no help.

Any suggestions for an '02 CBR F4i. Looking for something obviously nice and loud (but not too loud) that doesn't sacrifice performance. I've heard D&D are on the verge of being too deafening and suck as a pipe in general.

I'm looking into Two Brothers and Jardine right now as my budget won't allow me to look at Micron or Akropovic.

Any opinions or advice would be great. I know its a sportbike but I'm also looking for the deepest sound possible as opposed to the high pitch screaming sound of some pipes. The one thing I'm so jealous of cruisers is how they've got that whole Barry White thing going on.

Thanks.

A few people I know use Micron and love them, they are pretty deep sounding. http://www.micron-exhaust.com

Check out Leo Vince. a bit louder than akrapovic (akras are on the quiet side), but still has the nice deep sound that a micron or akra has.

If you want the deepest sound go for the carbon fiber can

A mate of mine has a Gianelli carbon can on his ZX9 and it sounds nice and deep. He got it for a good price and he is happy with its performance.

Ironically this was the first thing that came up when I googled Gianelli:

My ZRX has a Two Brothers can and it sounds very nice. But that bike has 1100 cc's, and the more cc's you have the "deeper" the rumble. Don't expect a very low tone from 600 cc's, but you can certainly get an aggressive sound.

Try http://www.holeshot.com/ and see if Dale has anything for your bike, he makes top quality stuff. Also, Muzzy is recognized as one of the leaders in this area, so anything Muzzy would be an upgrade, too.

If all you are looking for is a sound change without loss of performance... is it possible to tweak the stock cans? I.e. remove baffles inside the mufflers.

Assuming that hasn't already been done of course. :D
Ride it like you think owning it matters.

Blue flame is really popular for CB's I bet they have something for CBRs.

Blue Flame
Of course I'm generalizing from a single example here, but everyone does that. At least I do.
