Actually I don't even know if my next bike will be a supersport.

I'm trying to choose between a liter class supersport, the Triumph 675, a supermoto bike, or a Honda Interceptor.

It's WIDE open right now.
I'll give you props for considering a D675, dare to be different (kinda).
Man, I'd have ordered one of those for sure if I could. Well, I could, but they wanted full MSRP + $600 freight and PDI, and they only had yellow.

Tough pill to swallow.

:)

i was getting an average of 37mpg on my previous 1000. that's not so bad.

im getting the same 37mpg avg on my 750 too.

i bet if you really run it hard all the time, you can still can get 30mpg.
and I get 45-50mpg on my 750cc Interceptor. 40-45 if I'm running it hard... and I weigh 100lbs more than you do.. and the interceptor weighs 550lbs wet. My motor isn't exactly Super-sport status, but it is respectable enough.

I consider in the 30's crap for gas mileage on a motorcycle. I know they put out a lot more power, but a lot of the 600cc's will get into the 40's on average. Gas mileage isn't really the focus of the supersport bikes, but how much of a 1000cc supersport can you use? Probably not enough to make up the difference between the 600 and the 1000. Hell, the 600 should technically be easier to take corners with.

Well, my car gets 34mpg, so if my car gets better mileage than my bike, I'm not a happy camper.

well, it's borderline paranoia to be worried about it.

license plates are seen in public all the time.

oh and if you're wondering why the junk car is in the garage it's bec i want to sell the engine. the hood is badly damaged so people at night can easily tear it apart at night if left outside. the integra still runs but the frame damage to it is really bad.

You get 18mpg with an MX6? That is crapola for effeciency. You should get no less than 22-24 in the city with that car.
