It should be legal to pee on people that ride without the appropriate gear. Same for people that don't wear seatbelts. You'd think twice about pulling out of the driveway sans jacket when the threat of getting wizzed on looms over your head.

What I hate most is the idiocy associated with half-assing your protective gear. All the time here in Texas I see guys riding in sneakers, shorts, and sleeveless shirts... while wearing a helmet. :frusty: That's great! Your head won't get squished. Now about those skin grafts...

yikes I live in fort worth too.. I'll be sure to wear the correct gear when I get a bike as I'd rather not get pee'd on.

I am a big believer in wearing thick leather boots that cover the ankles . Now here is what you do with the laces .
1: draw them up tight
2: run your first over and under and pull it tight too
3: run your laces around your ankles and tie again
4: finish in a square knot
You now have your boots laced up tight and no excess lace to snag or get caught anywhere .
Regards, Wizzard

I wear full gear when I ride which is pretty much every day. I have the textile type jacket and pants that can be worn over street clothes, so I pull into work looking a little like a Power Ranger on a Ducati. After I park, a flurry of zipper and velcro noises ensue and hey presto, a mild mannered diesel mechanic with a backpack stands before you. I believe it's a personal choice of course, and I choose to keep as much of my skin as possible. Only one guy at work makes fun of me for wearing gear and irony of ironies; he used to ride a Yamaha sportbike. He makes a few joking comments about me being a p@##y as he limps around on his ankle with the pins and raises his skin grafted arm to his lips to take a drag from his Marlboro.

Hmmm, I used to wear thick still boots but have since switched to strudy over the ankle leather shoes with ankle padding in them, they might not protect my feet quite as well as the leather boots, but thier slip-resistant and very comfortable, as for my other gear I wear a...

Raider Trakstar leather jacket with padding
Joe Rocket Balistic Riding pants.
