what happened to one famous guy isn't going to change the helmet law in Pennsylvania, im fully licenced, and I consider myself a professional rider, legally I don't have to wear a helmet, but I choose to wear one cause I know many times a helmet has saved me, so if you guys that don't wear a helmet and ur up all night worried that the law might be changed and ur forced to wear a helmet, I have one thing to tell you,: I don't care!! It won't affect me cause I already and will always wear a helmet. "I DON'T CARE"

Update on the accident analysis, from SI.com
Long story short, he had the right of way. The other vehicle will be cited for "failure to yield."
He is being cited for no license and (since he didn't have a license) no helmet.

Not wanting to start a helmet debate, but the problem with this case is the focus its giving on the wrong subject matter.
This is a perfect example of a majority of accidents happening to riders with no motorcycle safety training (or even a license). Rather than have the discussion revolve around that, which could prevent so many future fatalities, the different sides of helmet debate will tread worn out ground.
Sure she pulled out in front of him, but would have experience and training help him avoid the accident?
We'll never know because he never even bothered to get a license!!!

I saw him on TV explaining his version of things, saying helmets aren't required, etc. Only thing he left out was "with a license". This jock's intellect is remarkebly microscopic. A pig is probably smarter. He should be eternally grateful to his gods for having the job he fell into.
