I hit a.......

#1 Unread post by MattL »

Today I was riding to work and guess what kind of creature I kit?

deer? - No.
Squirrel? - No.
Leopard? - No.

I hit a friggin turkey. I mean.... wtf?

A few years ago these things were RARE. Now you see em everywhere. I just came out of a corner and there he was. Just gassed it, stood up a big, and gave it a little kick over the head.

Heres the amazing part. He ain't dead. I pulled over and ran over to it and it popped up full of life when I touched it and chased me down. I ran over to my bike and as I was mounting up the friggin thing kept attacking my rear tire and exhaust... I high tailed it outa there!

Crazy little things jeez....

If someone on a bike flew by me and kicked me in the head for no reason I'd want to attack you too!

Ugh - I work over in newton MA and we have wild turkeys all over our office park. Many times I'll be in a meeting with my boss and we'll get completely distracted because there's a turkey outside his window (it's floor to ceiling) that is getting angry at it's own reflection in the glass. It's pretty hard to have any sort of conversation with them yelling at either themselves or each other.
