If i can knock him down to say $500 or $600 do you think it's worth it?

I called him up and he said that it's an EX500 and he was going down an offramp at about 35mph when he dropped the bike. He was wearing the helmet when he crashed making it worthless, though he says he hit soft dirt so it's perfectly fine. If it's just cosmetic damage and the bike starts fairly easily then I figure it'd be worth it. If it's damaged and won't start then maybe I can talk his price down a little further.

What do yall think?

I'd want the bike checked out by someone who knows exactly what to look for. Otherwise the price isn't too bad. Definetely not any deals like that in my area.

I think no one should ever write "yall" again.

Get the bike checked out, or at least find out what kind of crash it was. If he hit something it'll probably be a relly expensive fix, if he just low sided, then it's probably not so bad.
Of course I'm generalizing from a single example here, but everyone does that. At least I do.

BAck on topic...the damage from what I can see is minimal. I think it's a great deal if the frame isn't bent.
