well there you go then. as my old baseball coach used to say "even a blind squirrel finds a nut everyonce in a while"...guess i get lucky sometimes.

I rode dirt for a number of years and have riden the other bikes you have listed except the vulcan so I can't really comment on that one, but the lightness and nimbleness of the intruder will feel more farmilar to you then the others. Granted it's no dirt bike, you'll sit lower and the wheel base is stretched out, but the way it makes power in the lite frame will be more like that then the others.

I was in the same boat, going from dirt to street bikes, I bought a cruiser, after owning it for almost 2 years with 7000 miles I still can't get used to the footpegs mounted far forward, its my opinion you will be happier with a street bike with normal in the middle postion footpegs, example: Suzuki V Strom
