hello from korea

#1 Unread post by nicoleinkorea »

Hi there,
not sure if there are any other people here in Asia right now... or more specifically in Korea. I know there certainly are enough of us English speakers riding bikes... maybe I'll start a new trend :)
Anyway, I started on a scooter (couldn't resist; really cheap and easy to drive... no license required) and have now moved up to a 125cc Daelim Magma (if anyone knows of ANYWHERE on the web to find information in English on this bike PLEASE LET ME KNOW!!! I want to learn more about it...) I do have a lesson planned soon though, a friend from England who knows alot about bikes in general.
But i wander. I'm teaching English here in Korea, having a blast, and able to realize the dream of driving a bike! (had a boyfriend who said he'd teach me, but that never happened :p) I'm very interested in learning more (especially since there are no real educational opportunities here in Korea, at least that I know of) it's mostly learn as you go... you don't need a license for anything under 125cc (I'm getting one anyway, I'll be able to use it back in Canada when I go for a visit)

It's been great seeing all the information on this site, keep it up!

cheers,
Nic

Hiya Nic, Welcome, they are a friendly lot here, I am sure there is someone here that could help you with technical info. Gives you a good feeling riding the motorcycle. I have been riding 20+ and I still find it exhilerating  We look forward to hearing from you.Have you got any pics. You can see my photos in my personal gallery, which is in my profile. Dave is the pilot of our FZX 750 and I'm the ballast as he puts it!
I'm not riding fast...........Just flying low!
