Thanks for your responses.

Here is some points. Yes Its $5300 USD. I think its too high for what it is.

It is extremly hard to buy used here because of not so many people living around here. And i dont want something someone has abused.

I want to keep it long term. I do not want to have to buy a 250 and then buy another bike in a year or 2 either.

The previous lady owner they 'said' traded it in becasue it was to big for her and she bought her previous model bike .

Used is not really an option around here.

There are more parrots here than at a pirate convention. "BUY A TWO-FIDDY! SQUAWK!"

I checked on isurance price on the 650Ninja

Looks like I am going to be getting a cruiser after all.

The lowest i got with Progressive was 400 for a year.

Cruisers get HUGE breaks on insurance. Main reason why I went with a cruiser. That and maybe long range ridability.

Was progressive the only company you checked?

I had horrible luck with their web page... as in they quoted everything from $1100 to $2200 a year for the exact same coverage (and rider) on a $3000 MSRP bike that they would actually insure for $400 full coverage over the phone.

Sport bikes w/ fairings will cost more to insure. It's the nature of the riders and the risk.
Ride it like you think owning it matters.

No i checked with Geico and i also checked with my local company.

$400 doesn't seem too bad for a year. It breaks down to about $34 a month.

I just paid $365 with State Farm for a year on an 87 Magna. Of course I'm 25 years old and have had 3 speeding tickets the last 3 years so it's a bit high. I got quoted cheaper by progressive, but I have state farm for my house and truck so I didn't want to deal with separate insuarance companies.

Yeah i am 31 with no tickets and i don't think it should cost more than my car insurance.

400 i could pay for one year but year after year i would not want to.

If you think 400 is high..never move to MA. Insurance is REALLY high here.
