Two Wheel Parking Petition & Poll

  • Quote

#1 Post by Thunderbumble » Fri Jun 23, 2006 10:37 am

This petition is to get your local government to convert some automobile parking to two wheeled parking.

Just as parking spaces for compact cars and handicapped parking stalls have increased efficiency and convenience in urban and suburban communities, officially designated two-wheel parking facilities can do the same.

Government agencies should consider removing the two-wheeler from the four-wheeler parking space and placing it in its own, scaled down zone. This is a simple concept that can be embraced by city councils, urban planners, local merchants, contractors, shopping center management and private businesses whenever parking for motor vehicles is provided.

Hey hot_shoe_cv, any chance you can tone down the image in your sig a little?

I mean it's a nice bike, but I don't really need it covering 3/4 of my screen every time I scroll down one of your posts.

Doesn't make much sense up north where 1/2 the time you can't even ride your bike cause of all the snow.
Of course I'm generalizing from a single example here, but everyone does that. At least I do.

San Francisco, CA has 'em from what I've seen and NYC parking garages being built are planning to add motorcycle spots as well as easy entry.
