Getting back to the original thread about dealership issues, I bought a new Suzuki VZ800 from a local dealer here in Ohio which turned into a nightmare for me. At 200 miles the bike developed a high pitched whine in the gear box that started a 45 mph and stopped at 65 mph, it was so loud that I could only stand to ride the bike for an hour before my ears started to hurt. The dealer told me it was wind noise from my windshield and took the shield off to prove the point. They broke the windshield in the process. They refused to do anything about the bike unless Suzuki authorized the work. I spent many long frustrating hours on the phone with Suzuki's service center in California only to be blown off. They are good at asking dumb questions and issuing double talk. I took it to another dealer and they told me it would most likely freeze up if ridden hard. So after a wasted summer of trying to get the bike fixed, I traded it in at another dealer. I lost my butt in the process, the bike only had 960 miles on the clock when it was traded. The run around you are getting from Suzuki seems to be their standard operating procedure. Buy a Yamaha and end your misery. XS

I took it to a lawyer, he said to forget it and move on. So I did. It was good advice.

Take the dealer to court

The lawyer was an "A" hole. Not enough bucks in it for him.
Sometimes just a letter from your lawyer will make the dealer see the light.
That's all it took to get my money back from a dealer in my area.

If that fails,
SMALL CLAIMS COURT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
