1977 Suzuki GS400XB

#1 Unread post by jonnythan »

So there's this mint condition '77 Suzuki GS400XB with 18,000 miles one of my buddies is selling for $1000.

Assuming it's comfy, it's a nice looking bike and seems like it would make a great starter bike.

Thing is that I could barely find *anything* on the forums about this model, so what's the scoop?

(I just got my permit and, yes, I'm signed up for MSF on 7/18-7/19)

Im riding an 83 Yamaha XS400 and its my 1st bike... although 1000 bucks seems kinda steep for a 77.

that is very low milage for a 30 year old bike i would think...how long has it been sitting?

you might be looking at needing new tires, some engine work and other things of that nature depending on prior maintainence...sounds like a decent learners bike/commuter...but for a grand it might be a bit pricey.

"A cheaper model without the front disc brake, electric starter and gear indicator was sold in some countries under model name GS400XB."

Bah. Back to the drawing board :)

How is the Honda CB750? ;)
