Well, then, getting back on topic...

Sure, Colin blew it at the end, but at least he went for it and went out in a blaze of glory. That's more than I can say for Haydn... If he'd been in the same position following Rossi at the end of a race (a position he's been in rather frequently of late), he'd just have played it safe and gone for 2nd place rather than the win. I give Colin much more credit for risking it all at the end going for the win rather than choosing the typical Haydn boring, but safe route.

I noticed that when I was watching one of the races on TV. I was thinking "Hey, what is that doing there?!" Then I noticed it was an A. Took me some time though... It's gotta be the greatest logo ever

Does kinda show how warped our minds are though... I mean it's clearly an A...

Sure, points are better than no points but...

Personally, I'd rather see someone like Rossi win the championship by winning 8-10 races like he usually does than someone like Hayden who finishes 2nd or 3rd in every race and may manage to win one race.

I think the points should be more heavily biased towards 1st place and fewer to lesser places.

"Win it or bin it" made Miguel one of my favorite racers long ago. Unfortunately it is most definitely not the way to win championships (at least Superbike championships more than once) and Miguel proved it. So if Edwards is cruising in 9th spot for most of the season and has one good ride where he hangs it out for the win he is the hero? Hayden doesn't go out for 2nd or third place but has the maturity to realize that binning the bike for a hopeless cause is, well, hopeless. He will pull it out for the win when possible and if you watch the video again it is exactly what he did. And Edwards took himself out as well.....
