2007 Suzuki M109R
600 miles
600 miles
Finally, had the 500 mile service. Now riding the bike more like it deserves to be riden. The acceleration is awesome!!! So much power.
Took the curves with much more agressive stance. Back tire is now showing use almost to the outside edge of the tire now. Bike holds in the curves very well.
After 100 miles was gassing up and decided to check the oil level. Glad I did. No oil showed up on the stick!! Station didn't have 10W40 so went to another and had to put in 3/4 of a quart! Can't believe the stealer service dept screwed this up. These guys are supposed to be good. Guess the lesson is to always double check everything they do. They did adjust the clutch and found some loose bolts on the forks (good reason to have the 500 mile service.)
Also, adjusted the clutch and front brake brackets to make them more comfortable for my grip. Need to roll the handle bars up a little too but not sure on how to do this, may wait until the next service visit.
More fun later!!!

it also has suspension components and brakes off of the gixxer.
i wonder which gixxer the M109R got its brake and suspension... it'll probably be from the 1000 considering it's price.

M109R Hp & Torque
From what I was able to get off the reviews in the mags:
HP: 130 bhp
Torque: 118 ft/lbs @5000 rpm
One reviewer said that hitting the throttle hard from a rolling start at 30 mph in 3rd gear is like having sex for the first time. Today, I got pretty close to finding out exactly what he was talking about but had to break for the next curve!!!
Also, from earlier posts, it's not hard to break the back tire loose in 3rd gear. You can definitely feel it break loose before it grabs and launches you forward while you hang on.

Timing mentally challenged
Not sure about the timing, but it doesn't have a power band that kicks in at a certain rpm like some bikes. The power is consistent all the way to red line. No kick just increasing constant accelleration. Makes it nice not to have to shift gears into and out of the curves.
