I was going to say that, too. But seriously, he's right... there was another attempt at an American made sportbike but I can't recall the details. Getting old.

i think that was the fisher motorcycle. US built sportbike powered by an SV650 motor, the fisher is supposed to be entering production soon.

funny the engine in that RV1000 looks a lot like a bombardier rotax v-twin.

there is definately a little similarity there. Im thinking the roher engine may be based of the previous version of the rotax v twin which was 936cc like the roher engine.

that rotax v twin would be one wild ride strapped into a sportbike it has 139hp @ 9500rpm from 997cc.

I just don't think they'll get enough support. With the japanese/euro sportbikes already having the reputation and following that they do, this place would have to offer killer prices and prove themselves to get a following. But I guess anything is possible. Look at Triumph, not really respected at all as a sportbike maker...until this year

It's going to price itself out of existance. Ohlins. carbon fiber and all. You can see from the website that they are still looking for investors, the summer is halfway over and they think they are going to intro this thing before summer is over!? Doubt it.

i really like the sound and powerband of the I-4 better. sure i need to rev it up higher but it's cool to hear it scream.

Verm, Inline-Fours are wonderful bikes, I've owned a few (Including a CBR1000) Loved it! But like someone smart said, don't knock it til you've tried it. Til you've owned a V-Twin bike (Sportbike, since that's your obsession) Shut it (Really, if you ever get the chance, you need to ride an Aprilia RSV-R. K? ) If you want anyone to take you seriously, you gotta speak from EXPERIENCE man!!

That is one ugly engine. No wonder they are hiding it behind a fairing.
