What color did you get?

hell even if it isn't your first bike, motosliders are a must. They've been put to the test by numerous people @ svrider.com (myslef included, but at very very low speeds - like nearly stopped). I love my SV, since Feb I've put over 9000mi on it :)

Frame sliders could save you thousands, no joke. I recently had a low side at 50 mph. Ended up with some scratches, broken blinker, and a trashed slider. Without the slider, I dont even want to imagine what would have happened.

Also get a nice leather jacket, high quaility racing gloves, decent boots, and some leather or textile pants that will zip to your jacket. Chances are you will need it sooner or later.

Even if you end up never needing that gear, this is one case where it is most certainly better to have and not need, than need and not have. I patched a friend up on the side of the road, after a pretty slow lowside. Had he worn more gear, and gear that fit correctly where he did - he probably would have been spared some scarring.

I was so busy I couldn't come back here sooner.

:) Thanks for all your nice comments guys. Thanks for the advice about the sliders. I have seen those on other's motorcycles but forgot about those.

I asked for the Suzuki sliders at the motorcycle shop, those cost $90 for just the frame sliders. Also installation isn't free. I thought I would buy the Motosliders(both frame & swingarm) online. But are those easy to install all by myslef? Please advise.

Ride was good

It was only yesterday I took my SV out. I rode for some 25 miles. It was nice except for the pain the palms. Could be due to the seating style, leaning forward. Planning to ride to work if its sunny :D

I bought the red one. I wanted to post the pics but didn't know how  Here is my riding gear.

HJC CL-SP
Alpinestars T-Dyno textile
Teknic gloves

I also have bought a Kryptonite disc lock, and a 20ft metal chain form HomeDepot. I initially bought the Kryptonite chain but I couldn't find any thing close enough to chain the motorcycle to.
